Hi everyone! Below is the weekly schedule of classes I will be teaching at Yoga Art Space. You will also find a description of each class and what to look forward to. Bhakti Yoga Flow: Bhakti yoga focuses on the concept of love and devotion. This class offers a dynamic flow practiced with a mindful rhythm, encouraging students to focus on pranayama (breath). Synchronizing asana (poses) and pranayama, we flow through vinyasa sequences designed to stimulate both the physical and energy bodies.
Gentle/Senior Yoga: This gentle class offers students the ability to move and breathe at a gentle pace. We will use props for a well-supported practice along with focusing on relaxing breathing techniques and alignment to ensure proper range of motion.
Intro to Yoga Workshop: Are you interested in trying yoga, but not sure where to begin? If so, this workshop (hosted once a month for $20) is perfect for you! Learn the basics and the beginnings of how you can integrate yoga into your daily life. This Intro to Yoga workshop is led by master yoga teacher, Nydia Villezcas, who will guide you through the basic fundamentals of yoga. You will be introduced to the history of yoga, breathing techniques, learn basic postures and proper alignment, and will be guided through a gentle yoga practice. Feel comfortable and relaxed as you learn alongside fellow students who are also embarking on their yoga journey.
Restorative Yoga: Restorative yoga is a gentle, calming, deeply relaxing yoga practice that uses many props to support your body as it eases into relaxation both in the mind and body. This practice is designed to restore the nervous system and help release tension from mind and body. Expect to leave this class feeling relaxed and peaceful.
Vinyasa Flow: Vinyasa is a continuously moving traditional class that builds energy, strength, and serenity. The class features ancient classical poses that have been healing bodies for centuries, as well as breath work and meditation. This class is appropriate for all ages and levels of practice, no experience necessary.
Yoga for Cancer Survivors: This gentle class offers students the ability to move and breathe at a gentle pace. We will use props for a well-supported practice along with focusing on relaxing breathing techniques and alignment to ensure proper range of motion.
